Why Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient tradition, that I am so grateful to add my own spin on. Yoga teaches us to listen to our bodies to learn when to push and not. Through postures and breath we melt into postures and hold - not force. Through yoga we become closer to the state of samadhi or bliss state. Yoga helps with anxiety, depression, injury recovery and at times even PTSD.
Common Myths About Yoga.

Flexibility
You do not have to be crazy flexible to do yoga. As an instructor I am there to help with your flexibility level.

Yoga is Spiritual
Its not always spiritual. Yoga is more meditative. I will never be there to force a belief. Yoga is just to open the mind to new possibilities.

Yoga is an insane workout
Everyone is able to absolutely go at their own pace. I am merely there as a guide not as a pusher. I guide the class as you learn to trust your body to hold postures and to move through.
Classes & Styles Offered

Yin
Yin. In our Yin yoga practices we target our fascia. this is the posture is layer of tissue between the muscle and skin. We move into posture, and hold posture or asana for 3-5mins. In posture we find our edge and breathe through it. This is done by engaging in our breath and not forcing the posture. This class is a beginner class, can range to advance.!

Restorative
Restorative yoga . We hold each posture for up to 10 mins. Restorative is know as the Regenerative and Relaxation practice. Bolsters are used to bring the floor up to meet your body in posture. In Restorative we recieve a great gentle stretch. Most relaxing Yoga we offer. This is a beginner class,can range to advanced.

Vinyasa
These are the flow classes. I like to call them the workout or working classes this is where we flow with breath and our more fast paced workout yoga..In Vinyasa/Hatha yoga ,We we work to strengthen muscles and hold postures with our breath. We start with sun salutations, we move through static asana into vinyasa flow. to warm up to ensure that muscles are warm. This also unions our ,mind body and spirit.

Lunch Flow
This practice is for all levels.It is a mix of dynamic flow and static posture. Strengthen and stretch. through this Vinyasa class. This class can range from full vinyasa to a yin vin flow/

Meditative Restorative
New Class Alert! In our meditative restorative class we focus more on the relaxation and into the breathing while in asana the melting into the bolster instead of so much the posture itsself this is an even gentler stretch then our restorative yoga class. This is where we get into the really juicy stuff the deep relaxation.

Hatha
In Hatha Yoga. We Start with Sun salutation to warm up. From sun salutation we move into our practice. This Is a slower but strengthening yoga still. where we hold and breathe. We feel our muscles warm up.We learn to hold posture without tension.

Yin Vin
New Class Alert! Yin Vin. This is a mixture of Yin Yoga and Vinyasa. We start with the hold of the yin classes. Next we move into the Vinyasa section. This is the perfect mix of stretch and strengthen. You get both the release of muscles and the working postures or flows. To create a dynamic practice and to create a union between mind body and soul

Restorative Flow
Restorative flow is a more relaxative class, this meaning while we flow we are still relaxing. This means that We move in and learn to let go. this is a more meditative class. as we flow slowly through the asana (posture) and we connect with our prana (breath) to sync breathing and posture. we then relax into a pose.

Chair
Chair Yoga we practice with a chair. so wether you can get to the grounnd or not we have a yoga for you. Chair yoga can range from a hatha style to more yin or even restorative. This is a fun class to explore different ways of doing yoga!

Power Flow
Power Flow Starts Off With 3 Yin Stretches. Then We Go Into Sun Salutations ,Vinyasa Flow, As Well As Static Postures For An Invigorating. Yoga Class, Where We Complete Asana To Tone Tighten Engage Muscle. While Adding Movement And Pranayama (Breathing) Into Our Daily Life.

Journaling Yoga & Sound Journey
This is so juicy. Through this yin practice we stop and journal we will move through postures and journal what comes up after the posture. as at times we are simmply moving through complex emotions as we are just human! there will be singing bowls and hand pan drum playing to create a safe environment to flow through emotions! I have been practcing these journeys as of late

Hitt Yoga
Hitt Yoga is a fast paced workout based class. Where we do repetitive movements to a tabata timer. Also add belly down vinyasa into the mix between the movements. this class is no more then 30 mins. It is a sweat session and a workout!

Sound Bath
This is new and exciting. We now have our own set of crystal singing bowls, a handpan drum, pan flutes, Crystal triangles, Rain stick and drums. through the journey of sound and hertz we can recalibrate chakras (energy centers). and initiate deeper relaxation and healing.

Meditation
Meditation is a connection through Prana (Breath). We learn to observe our inner workings. Through Meditation and Observation, we can watch our body mind and soul. Our breath connects us with all of us. Meditation can merely just be a relaxation and stress relief or it can go much much deeper.

Cacao Journey
Cacao is an ancient medicine made from raw cacao beans. Cacao is know as the bliss medicine. Your drink of cacao takes you on its own journey, It is a beautiful loving medicine much like reiki. In Cacao Journeys you can either have a Ceremonial dose or a non ceremonial dose. Our journeys also will include some movement and sound healing. . We look forward to leading through Cacao Journey.

Grounding Mat
Grounding Mat Services. This is So Exciting and new, We will be offering grounding mat sessions, also once we have enough we will be offering yoga with grounding mats. Grounding mats, offer the same effect of having your hands and feet in the dirt, on the grass, or even hugging the trees. It sends impulses through your body to create the same effect.. This is so beautiful even in northern alberta, when we have a deep winter. The beautiful part is that we can still be active, come in and recieve the groundinng from grounding mats to help center.

Carrie is trained in pre and post natal yoga care. We can make a plan all the way up to post baby. Prenatal yoga is great to keep you in shape your whole pregnancy. We keep in mind the production of relaxing in the muscles.
